RESIDENTIAL CLEAN-UP PROGRAM

The 2017 Residential Clean-Up Program will begin in Section #5 and terminate in Section #4.

All acceptable materials must be placed at the curb before 7:00 a.m. on the first clean up day scheduled for a section, but not more than two days in advance. The contractor will cover each street ONLY ONCE. Therefore, it is very important that materials for pick up are at the curb for collection on the first day for each section. Small, loose items will be picked up only if suitably placed in a wood, metal, or other substantial container and the weight of the container and contents do not exceed 50 pounds.

All containers with debris in them will be picked up and disposed of by the scavenger unless clearly marked "RETURN CONTAINER". By state law, doors on cabinets, appliances, and refrigerators must be removed as a safety precaution. Boards, swings, monkey bars and similar items must be dismantled and cut to maximum of (4) feet in length. Equipment with or containers of, gasoline, solvents, lacquer, acids, alkalis, etc. should not be put out for collection. Please report any unauthorized scavenging or scattering of debris to the Police Department at 464-1111. Please report to the Police Department any unauthorized dropping off of material.

Section 3 June 05 to June 09
Section 4 June 12 to June 16

As per the contract documents, for the protection of the Contractor, no scavenging will be permitted by others without the written consent of the Director of Public Works, and/or the Contractor. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that the disposal of materials (type 13) and recycling of materials shall be in accordance with current New Jersey State Solid Waste Regulations, and that the amounts of recycled material is properly reported.
